Today, the legacy of Crown Royal remains how it began, the epitome of Canadian whisky, with a smooth taste and a regal style all its own. And in truly noble fashion, this bottle of Crown Royal was placed on the Royal train as a symbol of the hardworking and genuine nature of the Canadian people. While the distillery’s Blenders’ Mash release arrived only a couple of months ago, there’s already another, with a nearly identical name though this one is part (part 3, specifically) of Crown’s upscale Noble Collection. The first exquisite blend of Crown Royal Canadian whisky was meticulously crafted from 50 select whiskies, dressed in the finest cut glass and wrapped in purple robes, to commemorate the first grand tour of Canada by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, in 1939. Rather, it is packed with creamy caramels, vanilla, gingery white pepper, dark fruits, floral tones, and accenting barrel notes. It ages slowly in Canada?s cold winters for 13 years, becoming very complex, yet not too woody. OctoTasting Notes: About: Canadian whisky with a bourbon-like mash bill of 60 corn, 36 rye, and 4 barley malts. Distilled from 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley, then matured in new oak, this whisky is massive and bourbon-like. Macallan has released the first expression in its new Macallan Home Collection, and this inaugural release is dedicated to its new distillery, which opened in 2018. Blenders? Mash is a rare opportunity to taste a component of that unit. The Crown Royal blending lab has so perfected the art of blending that each whisky becomes a seamless unit.
